Recently, someone contacted me after reading an article in the Wisconsin State Journal (Doug Moe: The Man Who Finds Lost Rings). She had lost her ring while gardening in the backyard. She wasn’t wearing gloves and thought she lost her ring while clearing leaves and brush from her yard. It had been over 3 years, but she figured there was nothing to lose. After about 5 mins of searching, we pulled her ring out of the ground. The look on her face was priceless.
We have two future hunts scheduled to look for a class ring lost during a snowball fight in her front yard close to 20 years ago – that’ll be one heck of a story if we can find it. We also have a hunt scheduled to look for ring that a woman lost while swimming at a friend’s cabin over 8 years ago. There is a very good chance both of these rings will be found, even though both have been lost for years.
